Starr gets a shocking surprise.
OLTL's Todd To Starr: "Hi, Honey, I'm Home" - Todd returns to Llanview this week on OLTL and reunites with one of the few good things in his life: Starr. The precocious kid catches her dad hiding out in the bushes at the mansion. "She hears his voice, because he's talking on his cell phone," previews Kristen Alderson (Starr). "She looks behind the bushes, and he says ' Hi, Starr.' She gives him the biggest hug. Then she kicks him in the knee." Todd tries to explain to Starr that he was stranded on a desert island, but "she doesn't believe him," continues Alderson. She calls out to her mom, but will she rat out her dad? "She doesn't want to lie to her mom, [but] she doesn't want to get him in trouble," explains Alderson. "She's going back and forth; she doesn't know what to do. She just wants what every other kid wants, for her mom and dad to be together. And everything bad happens. Nothing good happens for her." Like father, like daughter.

Public Opinion - Save Sam - letter from a Laurence Lau fan
The Hottest Topics This Week: OLTL Sam may not have much airtime these days, but Laurence Lau sure isn't lacking for fans. His supporters are mounting a letter-writing campaign to ABC execs and Lau: They want Sam/Lau to have a storyline, pronto.
Who is Michael Lazarus? Look for a clue in the name, but OLTL will provide the answer in the coming weeks.
fans are gossiping that OLTL's Will has been recast. A show spokesperson doesn't comment on rumors, but it doesn't appear to be true.
in her column, Carolyn Hinsey writes: " So, OLTL's Keri got a one-week embryo transplanted from her mother's uterus into her own in two episodes? And the baby probably belongs to her own fiance, Antonio? How many times is poor Sherri Saum going to get impregnated on-screen in bizarre ways? (Remember the turkey baster incident on SuBe?) It's creepy.
The Starr Report - article/interview with Kristen Alderson. Some quotes: " With Alderson in charge, Starr went from a sweet curly-locked girl to the holy terror (with a soft-spot for creepy, crawly things, including her father) she is today. 'When I started, Starr was scared and frightened of everything But now, she'll go right in there and break up that fight in the corner. Starr is one tough cookie.' And these days when Alderson gets scolded at home, her mom warns. ' "Starr", and I'm like "Oops."' And she has settled in quite well, making friends with fellow cast members - sleepovers at the DePaiva (Kassie and James, who play Blair and Max) home are commonplace because Alderson has buddied up with James' daughter, Dreama - squeezing school into the long hours on-set and fending off requests from friends for spoilers. 'They want to know what happens later. Sometimes I have to be like, "I can't say." ' Alderson's biggest challenge would seem to come from some co-stars - the ones who are literally cold-blooded. But she has taken it in stride. 'I loved the snake [that Starr and Todd released in the courtroom]. The only part I didn't like was off-stage - its tail went up my shirt. The iguanas I loved.' She wasn't sure about putting a spider on her arm, so they brought in a stunt girl, but with what seems to be characteristic Alderson panache, Kristen had made friends with it by the end of the day: 'I thought it was going to be a tarantula, but once I saw it, it was this tiny, black thing. No big deal It was in the jar, and I said, "Hi!" (There is a sidebar, mini-interview with Eddie Alderson, as well - CK)
Picky, Picky - Boo to OLTL's Antonio for having unprotected sex with a stranger. While we understand why he wasn't carrying protection (the guy didn't go out to score), why couldn't Antonio have bought some at an all-night convenience store? Bottom line: There was no reason for him to risk contracting a fatal STD.
RoundUp - Q - If another soap actor had to replace you for the day, who would you pick? OLTL - Kassie DePaiva - "Hands down, that extremely talented Michelle Stafford [Phyllis, Y&R]. She has Blair written all over her. She's got a quirkiness to her, but she's a very powerful actress, too. And she can bring that love interest of hers Peter Bergman [Jack], over, too."
ABC Gossip - Too Close For Comfort - For awhile, Erin Torpey (Jessica) and Melissa Archer (Natalie) shared more than scenes - they were dressing roommates. But no more: Torpey now shares with Ilene Kristen (Roxy) and Archer is with Patricia Elliott (Renee). "It's nice, because when [Patricia's] there , we talk But she's not here a lot, so I get the room to myself," says Archer. Why split two gals who are basically the same age? Here's the secret: "They try to avoid putting people together who share the same storylines," explains Archer. "Erin and I are together a lot - this way, we get some space and aren't always in each other's faces."
recap page - Q - Does Blair have a future with Sam (Laurence Lau)? Kassie DePaiva laughs, "That seems to be where they're headed. Could it work? Yeah, they've had a past, and he was there when she needed him, but she needs time, and she's not ready for it."
Men At Work - OLTLers want their favorite guys back on-screen ASAP. "Please bring Ben back to Viki," pleaded a fan. "He brought so much talent and fun to the show." Others are eager to see Laurence Lau's (Sam) story get beefed up. "Sam and Blair have great chemistry. Why can't you give this relationship a shot?" wrote a Lau lover.
